Issuance of Press Release

On January 8, 2026, MEDIROM Healthcare Technologies Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the cumulative number of Proof of Human authentications using the World ID device “Orb” at Re.Ra.Ku stores in Japan surpassed 20,000 as of December 28, 2025. The press release also reports that this represents approximately a doubling in verifications over a two-month period, reflecting the expansion of World, co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania, through the Company’s collaboration with the World Network.
