6 Conservative Organic Growth with Successful Lift-Out Strategies David Nelson joins West Bancorporation, Inc. as CEO. Entered the Rochester, Minnesota market by hiring experienced bankers who had existing strong relationships with local business owners and creating an advisory community board made up of local business owners and leaders. Successful and profitable establishment of market presence led to construction of permanent commercial banking office in 2016. Reached $2 billion in total assets. Expanded into St. Cloud, Mankato, and Owatonna, Minnesota with the same lift- out strategy used in Rochester, Minnesota.
