The net charge-off rate, which consists of allowance for loan losses, allowance for accrued interest receivable and reserve for guaranty losses, is based on annualized write-offs, net of recoveries, for single-family, multifamily, or total, where write-offs are when a loan is determined to be uncollectible or upon the redesignation of single-family mortgage loans from held for investment to held for sale, as a percentage of the average aggregate unpaid principal balance of the single-family conventional, multifamily, or total guaranty books of business during the period. The company's single-family, multifamily or total allowance for credit losses as a percentage of the company's single-family conventional, multifamily or total guaranty books of business.
